Ambush Soccer Association - Our Mission: To promote growth of and an appreciation for the game of soccer at a higher level by providing opportunities for the youth of Western Kentucky to learn the laws of the game and participate in organized programs of soccer.  ASA will not tolerate sexual, racial, or any other type of discrimination.

Board Meeting,  July 13, 2009 @ 5:30 pm

 

The U12 Boys placed 2nd in Jackson, Tn. this past weekend April 25 & 26.  In their first game on Saturday the boys were defeated by FC United from Mississippi 4-1 with the one goal being scored by Jordan Oden. In the second game on Saturday the boys shut out, thanks to the hard work from our goalie Colton Cavanaugh, AC Desoto from Mississippi 8-0 with goals being scored by Jordan Oden-3, Trey Miles-1, Haydon Prause-1, Aaron Shaw-1, Austin Moore-1, Tyler Grady-1. On Sunday the boys defeated the Cougars from Tennessee 2-1 with goals being scored by Jordan Oden-1 and Noah Bicksler-1. Thanks to Wade Shaw, Carson Lackey and Tyler Cloud for their hard work and great playing as well!!! The team is coached by Edwin Moore.

The Ambush 2000 U9 boys played Murray Mud Dogs at Ruff Park Saturday, April 25, 2009. The Mud Dogs beat the Ambush the first game 6-3. Ambush rallied back in the second game for a 4-3 win. The team is coached by Tim Noel.

Lady Ambush News

Quote of the Month:

Lady Ambush 96 placed 2nd in the Shootout in the West in Jackson Tennessee this past weekend April 25th & 26th. Lady Ambush defeated the U14 Poplar Bluff MO soccer club 3-0 with Sally Morse scoring 2 goals and Elizabeth Settle adding one. Sally Smith had an assist and Carson Bryant had the Shutout in goal. In game 2 Sally Smith, Allyson Parker, and Chandler Hall each had a goal in the 3-0 win over Purple Rain. Sally Morse had three assists, and Carson Bryant had the shutout in goal. In the Championship, Lady Ambush fell to the U-14 Paris Rush 4-0.  The team is coached by Tony Henson.

Lady Ambush 94/U-15 Girls placed 2nd in Shootout in the West Tournament in Jackson, Tennessee, on April 25-26. In the first game the Lady Ambush 94 fell short to Bartlett 93 Soccer Club 3-1 with the lone goal from Lexi Sabatino. The Lady Ambush 94 rallied back with a victory over Koinnnia Lady Express 2-0, with a goal from Lexi Sabatino and Lexie Bozell. Hayley Rideout had a shutout in the goal. In the final game, the Lady Ambush 94 defeated Tennessee Rush Extreme 6-0. Lexie Bozell scored 2 goals, Lexi Sabatino, Jeri Beth Higgins, Abby Pace, and Hadley Scruggs each scored for the Lady Ambush 94. Hayley Rideout and Sarah Kelley had a shutout in the goal. Other Team members of Lady Ambush 94 include Eden Mack, Garnett Bruce, Christian Warren, Josie Stewart, Meg Thalmann, Julia Fox, Hunter Neel, Samantha Michaud, Hannah Snyder, Brittany Kinnard. The team is coached by Tony Henson.

Lady Ambush 97 took 3rd place in the Music City Invitational Nashville, Tenn April 18-19 2009 Game 1 La fell to Warrior Soccer Clun 0-3 Mallory Smithson had 27 saves in the goal. Game 2 La fell to Auburn Thunder 3-2 Caroline Noel and Rachel Gardner both had 1 goal and Smithson had 24 saves in the goal. Game 3 La won over Lady Arsenal 6-3 Noel had 2 goals, Abigayle Curtis had a hat trick, Chandler Grace also had a goal Smithson had 5 saves in the goal. Game 4 La won over Springboks in a shootout, Gardner, Curtis and Grace made the goals Smithson saves 3 goals. The team is coached by Andrea Rule.
